Watauaga police and SWAT discover two dead inside residence in an alleged suicide

WATAUAGA – On Saturday, July 20th, responded to an incident that afternoon where two people were discovered dead inside a residence.

According to police, the call came in just before 1 p.m. from a home in the 6500 block of Loma Vista. Officials state the call was from a “distressed male” who implied that he may have harmed himself or someone else.

North Richland Hills SWAT as well as other several other police departments from the surrounding areas were called to assist in the situation.

Police stated they attempted to make contact with the man but were unable to reach him after his initial call. After attempting to reach the man for several hours the SWAT team decided to go into the residence a little after 6 p.m.

Inside of the home the SWAT team found a man and woman dead, the police stated they are currently investigating their deaths “as a suicide.” A neighbor stated the two people who lived at the residence were husband and wife. Police have yet to release any names at this time.
