Three arrested for alleged aggravated robbery that left San Antonio store clerk shot twice

SAN ANTONIO – Following a robbery where a store clerk was shot twice, the arrest of three individuals was announced by the San Antonio Police Department.

The aggravated robbery took place on Tuesday night, July 30, in the 800 block of N. New Braunfels.

As Central Patrol Officer Herrera was on patrol on Wednesday evening, July 31, he spotted a vehicle matching the description of a suspect vehicle connected to the aggravated robbery and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, said SAPD.

According to authorities, the suspect vehicle began to flee, which led to a short vehicle pursuit. It was reported that the suspect vehicle crashed and the three suspects began running from the vehicle.

The three individuals were shortly apprehended without incident and charged with Aggravated Robbery.

The suspects were identified by SAPD as Cami Payton, Armando Narvaez, and Zion Talavera.

SAPD stated that the arrests were made possible by Officer J. Herrera, along with Central Patrol, Street Crimes, EAGLE, Fusion and Robbery Units.
