KERRVILLE – In regards to the sexual assault incident that occurred at the Kerrville Kroc Center on August 5, 2019, the Operations Director of the Salvation Army, Molly Putnam, issued a statement on behalf of the company stating:
“The Salvation Army confirms that there was an incident at the Kerrville Kroc Center on Monday, August 5, 2019, where a parent reported their child missing from the pool area of the facility.
As soon as the parent reported their child missing, established protocols were immediately followed including alerting police who arrived on the scene quickly and took control of the situation.
The child was located and reunited with the parent.
The Salvation Army deeply regrets that this incident occurred, and remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of those involved in our programs. We are fully cooperating with the Kerrville Police Department regarding this incident.
We are unable to discuss the incident further as it involves minors, and the Kerrville Police Department is still investigating the matter.”
