UPDATE (07/16/2019) — The driver who smashed into a power pole Saturday evening has been identified by the Kerrville Police Department as 24-year-old Justin Legg.
“Mr. Legg was involved in a one-vehicle accident and was subsequently arrested for DWI and booked into the county jail,” stated KPD Public Information Officer Jonathon Lamb.
No further details are known at this time, pending completion of the police report.
Public court records don’t show any previous charges for Legg.
KERRVILLE — The intersection of Lois Street and Commerce was shut down for a period Saturday evening after a sedan smashed into an electric pole.
Emergency crews responded to the crash at approximately 5:20 pm, which included a scene of a crashed vehicle, a snapped electric pole and several bystanders gathered around the accident scene.
The headlights of the vehicle had traveled about 50 feet from the vehicle during the crash.
Kerrville Fire, Kerrville EMS, and the Kerrville Police Department responded to the call.
KPUB was called out to fix the damage or replace the pole.
