KERRVILLE — A Kerr County man by the name of Don DeWayne Garces, 62, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance according to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office.
“On 6-26-19, the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Kerrville Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration, executed a search warrant at 213 Hugo Street, Kerrville, Texas,” said a Friday morning Press Release.
“Don DeWayne Garces was the occupant of the residence but was not home at the time the warrant was served. Trace amounts of drugs were seized.”
According to the press release, the exhibits tested positive for Methamphetamine and Heroin and charges are pending lab analysis.
The Kerrville Police Department located and stopped Garces during a traffic stop on West Main the next day on June 27th. He was arrested on a warrant from the Austin Pardon and Parole Division for Violation of Parole.
According to KCSO, Garces was found to be in possession of over a gram of Methamphetamine at the time of the arrest and was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, PG 1, over 1 gram and less than 4 grams.
Another search warrant was then executed on Garces’ residence by the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office at 213 Hugo Street, and investigators reportedly found 210 grams of THC Candy.
Garces was then charged with a second charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, PG 2 or 2A, over 4 grams but less than 400 gram. This charge is also pending lab analysis.
According to court records, Garces is on parole for Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance. He has no bond for his parole violation.
