KERRVILLE — Highway 27 was briefly shut down after an 18-wheeler dumped a load of dirt on the roadway Tuesday.
Kerrville Police Department and Kerr County Sheriff’s Office arrived and set up by the dirt to warn drivers, who were slowing down from 55 to about 5 miles per hour.
Eastbound traffic was moving at a crawl until TX-Dot arrived with a grader.
Highway 27 was briefly shut down and then was down to one lane as crews removed the dirt and rock mixture from the highway.
