HARRIS COUNTY — A husband was killed early this morning after four masked robbers broke into his home and shot him while his family slept.
The Houston Chronicle reports the attempted robbery occurred at the Green Meadow Apartments in the 17300 block of Kieth Harrow Boulevard around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Ben Beall of the Harris County Sheriff’s says the four masked robbers broke the apartment’s glass patio doors, entered the apartment then attempted to rob the husband.
Beall says the robbers then shot the husband and made off with cash and drugs.
The victim was later taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Sources say the victim’s wife and three children were unharmed.
Investigators are interviewing the wife for more information on the incident.
According to the Houston Chronicle the four suspects have not been apprehended.
