Harris County school bus driver arrested for DWI while driving a bus full of children

HARRIS COUNTY – A bus driver was arrest on the suspicion of drunk driving while she had a bus full of schoolchildren, according to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4.

Linda Sue Godejohn was reportedly driving her school bus erratically on May 31 when a motorist called the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office stating that “the bus almost flipped over on the roadway” while swerving across the lanes in after-school traffic.

Constables were able to located Godejohn allegedly behind the wheel at the intersection of Aldine Westfield Road at Hirschfield Road and arrested her for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under the Age of 15, stated Constable Herman.

The toxicology report on Godejohn was received on July 31 and showed a positive result for several controlled substances in her blood on the day of her arrest.

Constable Herman added that Godejohn is currently out on bond and her next court date is set for August 6 in the 176th District court.
