MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are currently searching for a group of teenagers who were seen on surveillance video while one of them urinated on a shelf at Wal-Mart in Porter.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on July 27 when the group of teenagers was visiting the Wal-Mart located at 23561 US-59.
A video of the incident began circulating around social media which prompted citizens to contact Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart reviewed their security footage and discovered that the suspect had urinated on a shelf near the beverage aisle.
Before viewing the surveillance footage and learning about the vulgar behavior, the teenager was stopped by Wal-Mart loss prevention when he attempted to leave the store under the accusation that he stole a case of beer.
The investigation of this incident is active and the identities of the teenagers are still being searched for.
Charges are expected to be filed against the individuals.
“The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will not tolerate these types of vulgar acts. Tampering with consumer products is not only morally reprehensible, but can be a felony offense by which offenders will be charged,” stated MCSO.
