BLANCO – Information summarizing three separate arrests that were made in Blanco was released by the Blanco Police Department.
Blanco PD stated that with the help of a BPD Officer, the US Secret Service Fugitive Apprehension Unit, SAPD homicide detectives and other local agencies, a male who was wanted on a murder charge was arrested on Tuesday, July 30.
The suspect was arrested in the 100 block of US Highway 281 and was booked into the Blanco County Jail.
On July 28, BPD stated that an officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of 4th Street and US 281 where, after receiving consent to search, he discovered 3.7 grams of methamphetamine in the female passenger’s belongings.
The woman was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and was booked into the Blanco County Jail.
Another traffic stop that also took place on July 28 led to another arrest when a BPD Officer discovered a meth pipe and methamphetamine among the driver’s belongings, said BPD.
The traffic stop happened on US Highway 281 near the south County line.
The driver of the vehicle was initially arrested for Driving While License Invalid, suspended license, but during an inventory of the vehicle, the meth pipe, along with 1g of methamphetamine were found.
The driver was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Following his arrest, he was taken to the Blanco County Jail.
