SAN ANTONIO – Four people are dead as the result of an alleged triple murder-suicide and structure fire on the southwest side of San Antonio, confirmed the San Antonio Fire Department.

Crews with SAFD responded to the 7500 block of Dream Valley near Millers Pond Park after 6:00 p.m.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, a woman called and told dispatch that her brother was turning over tables and trashing her house. She added that she was not home at the time and was calling from a separate location.

Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered the structure fire along with two people outside the home said to have been dragged out by neighbors, according to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus.

Those two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

SAPD reported that two more victims were found inside the home. Their cause of death was not apparent at the time.

One of the victims inside the home was identified as the grandmother of the woman who originally contacted law enforcement.

The alleged shooter was found dead inside the home after police believe he killed himself.

Authorities have not determined what started the fire but during an initial investigation, it was determined that most of the fire damage was done to a bedroom area and part of the roof was destroyed.

The fire was extinguished with the assistance of 19 responding fire units.

An investigation of the incident is currently ongoing.
