CORINTH – With the hashtag “EndDWI,” the Corinth Police Department shared details regarding a drunk driving arrest that took place on Monday evening, July 22.

A traffic stop was conducted by Corporal Soye with the Corinth Police Department for a speeding vehicle going over 90 mph, according to CPD.

Corporal Soye reportedly determined that the driver was intoxicated with a passenger in tow, who was later released to a sober adult.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with DWI/Open Container.

“Ironically, the driver was supposed to be the designated driver #Fail. The vehicle contained not one, not two but six opened containers” said the Corinth Police Department on Facebook.

The police department concluded to say that it was lucky nobody involved or anyone else was injured or killed.
