UPDATE – It was learned by CBS 11 that according to a search warrant, the 9-month-old baby found dead inside her dad’s van on Thursday, August 1 at a Garland carwash just after 5:00 p.m. had been in the vehicle since 9:45 a.m. that day.
The father reportedly dropped the child’s mother off at work and forgot to take the baby to daycare, according to the search warrant.
The document stated that the father had driven his vehicle to car dealerships and a car wash all day and was unaware that his child was still in her car seat.
At the time the baby was found, the temperature outside was 97 degrees.
CBS 11 also reported that a witness at the scene said the father was parked and was vacuuming his van at the carwash when he suddenly pulled the lifeless baby out appearing frantic.
The Garland Police Department stated that the father could face criminal charges.

GARLAND – After responding to a report of an unconscious child, the Garland Police and Fire department discovered a deceased 9-month-old baby left inside a vehicle.
CPD reported that the incident took place on August 1 at approximately 5:15 at a carwash in the 3300 block Arapaho Road.
When paramedics arrived, the baby girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although It is still early in their investigation, authorities believe the child was left in the vehicle for an unknown amount of time before being discovered by her father.
An investigation is currently underway and no charges have been filed at this time.
