Reports state that a person who called 911 stated that 12 hours earlier the child allegedly had pulled a large pot of boiling water from the stove and the water covered the child’s head, chest, arms, and other areas.

The 911 caller also stated she was apparently not in the room at the time of the incident and that she allegedly treated the child herself and did not attempt to seek any medical attention.

Corsicana Police state the medical examiner’s office determined the child’s cause of death was due to her injuries sustained from the boiling water.
